The MalleyCats

I was talking with my good friend Mel of (my go-to food guru) about an amazing recipe of hers that I made for dinner the other night and she said,

Mel: "I'm insanely jealous about that dinner. "

When I told her that she was fully responsible for that dinner she replied,

Mel: "Sometimes, though, I really don't think I ever want to make dinner again for my family. Ever."

As if I didn't have enough reasons to love her---this just sealed her fate as one of my favorite people ever. The rest of our conversation went like this:

Me:"That makes perfect sense. I mean, I love cooking. Today I was reading a cookbook about tacos like it was a novel…and yet, actually making dinner for my family is sometimes the absolute worst. THE WORST".

Mel: " If I had a dollar for everyone that says "but you LOVE to make dinner, it's not fair!" Um, no. I don't. Not ever."

I don't know about you, but it makes me feel a million percent better about myself that a hugely successful food blogger also hates making dinner on a random Tuesday night.

So what can you expect from the Food section of this blog?  Who knows. Tonight my kids ate cereal for dinner.
